Dopplerradio.net hijacked

July 31st, 2005 by Erwin

Last night our site (and a few others hosted on our server) was hijacked. The result was that our homepage was changed and remote access was revoked. After a reboot it also appeared that the kernel of our (linux) server was corrupt, so we ended up with a dead machine. The back up we had has been restored and we had to come up with some cash for a OS re-installation (we are located in Europe, the server in the US). This has been performed and now the server is returning to it’s old state again.

We apologize for the inconveniences caused.
